Launch Day


Just another game I made. Its a 2d platformer, made from the Sunnyland asset found in the asset store. Features included in this game are slopes, more content, and tunnels. 

From the dev perspective for these aforementioned features: I am improving my ability to render objects, text, and images in Unity. Using the Sunnyland assets, I practiced more on adjusting the assets to my level designing workflow.  I am also proud on the merging of my Player Controller Package to a level with slopes. I had to 'round' out the edges using the radius property on the composite collider for the tile map.  Also, I continue to use the procedural level generator, rule tiles, multiple tile maps, and sprite editing to create some nice standard levels.

Finally, I practice my animations tooling skills for this game. Instead of creating my own player in Space Plebe, I used the Sunnyland player assets. I created my own animations and hooked those animations up with the player animator controller. I was excited see that my workflow for Unity was improving with this project. For my next, I am planning revisiting an earlier project and published that here on itch.io. It will be a top-down scrolling shooter. featuring a boat.
