update
I have one hour and 23 mins left in this game jam. The jam duration is a week. I got most of the art work down. I was fortunate to use particle systems for the space background and explosions. I am happy I got familiar with that. No music yet, and I am beginning to get think I am now going to do music. Since it is going to be web-based, I am thinking that music will weigh the download.
I took a pretty long nap and now I am going to work on this for the rest of the night. Right now, I am mid way in implanting the game logic for winning the level. I think the level objective should be just surviving the waves. I think I am just going to set the number of waves to 5 for each level, but with each level and wave, It will get more difficult with the different types of hazards. I want this game beatable in 15 minutes.
